Telit SE868 V2 GNSS Module Product Description

The new Telit SE868 V2 is the smallest multi-constellation GNSS module in the Telit portfolio. The SE868 V2 has been designed for global compliance with the present (GPS and Glonass) and being deployed GNSS constellations (QZSS, Galileo and Compass) and with the aim to provide pin-to-pin compatibility with Telit GPS module JF2.

The SE868 V2 is based on the advanced SiRF star V core and is able to track GPS and Glonass constellation at the same time, taking advantage of the truly multi-constellation navigation.

The SE868 V2 is packaged in an 11x11 mm QFN package with a powerful baseband processor, a SQI Flash memory, integrated LNA. Its ultra-sensitive RF front-end brings multi-GNSS location fix up to -165 dBm allowing indoor fix as well as fast fix and navigation in challenging outdoor zones like dense urban areas.

The SE868 V2 provides all the GNSS information over serial interface via NMEA protocol standard or via OSP binary protocol. The low power consuming core, allows multi-constellation tracking but the availability of several advanced power modes allows further reductions.

The SE868 V2 supports ephemeris file injection (A-GPS) as well as Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) to increase the position accuracy.

SE868 V2 is also provided with an onboard SW engine able to locally predict the ephemeris for three days in advance starting from the ephemeris data broadcasted from the GNSS satellites (EE data are stored in the internal Flash memory).
