Our dual-mode USB dongles offer both Standard and Low Energy Bluetooth 4.0 wireless access, being comprised of high quality CSR Bluecore 8510 ROM chipsets. The Bluetooth dongles require Bluetooth stack software to be installed on your host computer in order to implement all available Bluetooth profiles. KC Wirefree’s USB Bluetooth Dongles include additional settings, allowing you to provide a custom Bluetooth device name as well as other features. This Bluetooth USB dongle does NOT use kcSerial Bluetooth stack.
Our High Power Bluetooth Serial adapter uses kcSerial embedded Bluetooth stack, giving you a fully embedded Bluetooth Serial Port Profile adapter. This means that your host machine doesn’t require an active Bluetooth stack, with consistent operation across any Operating System.
With a built in Silicon Labs CP2102 USB-UART bridge chip, you have access to Microsoft certified device drivers, allowing for quick and easy installation upon insertion. These drivers allow you to set up a virtual COM port via USB cable to access the KC-4132 module UART interface, making it ideal for wireless replacement for cable.
